fbCal

With the rapid growth in useage of Facebook, more and more events are being planned through their systems. Facebook provides a calendar of these events which appears on a users home page, and is also available as a ICS file. After using this ICS file integrated with Google Calendar, I noticed that some of the 'CLASS' statements are set to 'private' when a user sets an event has hidden. This is an accurate representation of the event, however it can cause a event name to just be shown as 'busy' when using some calendar applications.

Gareth Ellis wrote a script in order to eliminate this problem, and agreed to let me host the file making it available to the public.

The form below will generate a URL that you can use instead of the original one that Facebook provides. None of your data is held, the script simply replaces the necessary elements within the ICS file to make all events appear as normal, and then feeds it back out.

I cannot make any guarantee as to the uptime of this service, as my site is acting as a middleman. Use of this parser has no guarantee or warranty - but it is free!

Source code will be available shortly.
